Rest if you must, but DON’T you QUIT!
What’s the difference between the guy who starts with nothing and ends up with a fortune, and the guy who starts with nothing, and ends up with less than he started with? The second guy likely quit before the race was won.
Maybe he thought it was a sprint and realized it was a marathon, but for whatever reason, at some point, he flat-out-stopped-when-the-other-kept-going!
It’s easy to look at the most successful investor at the club, or the guy you see closing 6-10 deals a month and think “wow!… and even be envious. I’ve been there too. I remember back when I was new in the business, thinking “how can he do it, when I CAN’T?!”.
I worked for close to a year before closing my 1st deal… really. The fact is, successful people didn’t go to sleep poor one night and wake up the next wealthy, lol. What blurs our perception is that we just see the fancy cars, and the travel and big houses, and we don’t think about the hours, days, weeks, YEARS they likely struggled before “making it”.
So I’m teasing, taunting, asking, begging… don’t give up!
Don’t listen to your own excuses…
“Maybe it’s not for me?”
“Maybe he knows more people than I do.”
“Maybe he got lucky.”
“Maybe he had more money.”
RUBBISH! Maybe he was tougher and more stubborn, and worked harder and longer, and maybe he had a little more natural talent or education… but the likelihood is that he just refused NOT to succeed!
Success is an elusive animal, the hunt is hard at best… but you WILL have it, as long as you STICK WITH IT! Fight when others fall, run when others walk, charge when others flee!
Success is failure turned inside out, the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit…
It’s when things seem worst, that you MUST NOT QUIT!
